Hi,
For some time now, we’ve been considering further refinements to our Stop-Loss system. We’ve also been prompted by several subscribers to look at improving this feature of the service.
The “generation 1”, or Gen1 version of the SL has delivered the following performance over the last 12 months:
Yesterday, we completed the “simulation” analysis of a new approach to the SL. The new stop loss uses both a daily fixed Stop-loss, and a per course trailing-stop loss (2 types of stop loss). The Gen1 trailing stop only worked at the “day level”, and worked on the assumption that weather affects most courses in a similar manner. That worked well last year, but isn’t working in the new post-COVID era.
The new stop loss (Gen2), would have delivered the following performance, over the last 12 months:
Crucially, the daily max losses are very close to the Gen1 system, so there should be no need to adjust your staking strategies (our Staking strategy will remain unchanged too).
Based on the last 12 months of bet history, the Gen1 SL delivers 800 points per year, whilst the Gen2 SL achieves 1,200 points, a 50% increase.
We’ve not sure how long this will take to implement yet, but aiming for 25th July. This date might slip due to holidays, and could be as late as 9th August.
Watch this space.
Cheers
Nick
