Jockey Changes

Hi All,

We’ve been working on a new technique to web-scrape jockey names, just before each race, for the last few days. That code is now complete and is live.

There might be a few kinks to work out (bugs), but for now, the system will adapt to last minute jockey changes, and re-balance its predictions on a race by race basis. This should improve the alignment between our simulations (prediction models), and the live betting system.

You can see the changes in Jockeys on the Live Betting Log page (underneath the results table).

We’ll be keeping an eye on this new feature over the next few days, to make sure it’s working properly.. much of the code is dependant on a third party web site – for obvious reasons.
