Unfortunately it’s still not having it – same response. Check connection works fine but simulate betting says please update to the latest version with a message about curl.exe in the version status. I’m off radar Saturday but happy to help out with testing Sunday if you want to TeamViewer my setup or somesuch.

20/06/2020 at 10:42 #23240nick257KeymasterHI Craig,
Whenever you have time.. can you post back the contents of the file “Place_Bets_PSM_Ltd_v1.47.log” (it’s in the same folder as the spreadsheet).
The new version, v1.47, includes some extra diagnostic information.
Cheers
Nick20/06/2020 at 11:16 #23247nick257KeymasterPlease see the new instructions at the download page.
I think we’ve found the cause the continuing problems a few members are experiencing.
Before you can use the spreadsheet, it has to be “extracted” from the ZIP file. Some of you won’t have a clue what this means! 🙂 So, we’ve created an alternate version of the ZIP file which is a bit easier to deal with.

20/06/2020 at 20:05 #23269nick257KeymasterThanks all, will have another version ready in an hour or so… lots more error handling included… watch this space.
20/06/2020 at 20:07 #23270brendan47ParticipantIm gonna hold tight a few days
till you guys sort an easier method.20/06/2020 at 20:52 #23275nick257KeymasterIf anyone feels brave enough, v1.48 of the spreadsheet is available for download.
I’ve added lots more error handling,
- it checks you’re now using OneDrive (or other cloud storage),
- It checks you’re not trying to run the spreadsheet from inside a ZIP file, and
- it checks the CURL files are in the same folder as the spreadsheet.
Cheers
Nick21/06/2020 at 14:20 #23294scdeanParticipantThe spreadsheet that I have just downloaded is v1.51. I don’t if this is relevant to the problems that I have been having but a message box keeps popping which says “Error in Error Handler – Bad file or number”
Cheers

21/06/2020 at 14:24 #23295nick257KeymasterHi Steve,
This error occurs when the spreadsheet cannot write to the diagnostic file.
It could mean you haven’t UNZIPped the file, or you might be trying to use the spreadsheet from a cloud drive, i.e. not the hard drive on your PC.
For help unzipping the files, see this Microsoft page.
Version 1.52 has a better error message, to help you understand what might have gone wrong.
Cheers

Nick21/06/2020 at 21:47 #23319nick257KeymasterOK,v1.53 now available…. It seems to work on Windows 7!
There was a bug, the code kept looking in the wrong place for CURL.exe… It’s fixed.
Thanks for your patience Craig…

You must be sick to death of Excel spreadsheets now mate. Can’t fault your perseverance that’s for sure, and it looks like you’ve accomplished the task at last!
I’m useless with such things, but even I can download and run a spreadsheet in my sleep now.
Looking forward to version 1.54 🙂All the best,
Andrew. -
