I’ve now updated to v1.52 and continuing to receive the same error messages relating to updating to latest software and curl. The info from the 1.52 text file is as follows:

Unfortunately it’s still not having it – same response. Check connection works fine but simulate betting says please update to the latest version with a message about curl.exe in the version status. I’m off radar Saturday but happy to help out with testing Sunday if you want to TeamViewer my setup or somesuch.

Hi Nick, see below. It suggests software is out of date but I downloaded the most recent version of Gruff, and both 1.45 and 1.46 versions of the spreadsheet.

Hi Nick, appreciate the speedy response on trying to get this one fixed.

I still have the issue except it has changed slightly. Within the spreadsheet, the ‘check connection’ function now works and a box comes up saying “Connection OK and membership setup correctly”. This now means my server response box at the bottom of the page seems to be indicating it is working correctly. This was failing on v1.45.

However, when clicking ‘start betting’ or ‘simulate betting’ I am still getting a pop-up saying ‘please update to the latest version’ and in version status ‘Unable to connect to flat-racing.com. Please check you have ‘cURL.exe’ installed.’ Which is the same response as on v1.45.

Hope the feedback helps – happy to guinea pig any further potential remedies if you wish. I’m on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

Thanks for quick response. I do have Windows 7 as I’m hoping to use an old work laptop for running the bets.

I have downloaded curl.exe from the suggested link and looked through the discussion link and attempted to follow but some of it goes over my technical language barrier! Unfortunately, despite putting the Curl application in the same folder, when I click check connection I still get “Please check you have ‘curl.exe’ installed”.

I’m not sure despite having curl downloaded, by computer is actually running anything as nothing happens when I click the application. Will have another play around shortly but any further ideas?

Hey Nick, thanks for the response. I am still having the issue… when I click simulate betting, a pop up comes up saying please update to the latest version and clicking ok takes me to your website client download page. Version status still refers to checking if I have cURL.exe installed which I can’t see that it was included in the download. Sorry for being trouble!
